Fantasy Suites

The Executive Suite had a big TV, minibar, table, and mirrors along one wall beside the bed. But there was no closet for my things, and the windows had a thick layer of dust. One aluminum chair was bent, too. I called reception for two glasses and to have the chair changed, but neither the room phone nor the backup phone over the minibar got an answer. The bathroom is small and had two towels, though I’d booked for three people. There’s a hairdryer and hot and cold water in the shower. Parking and Wi-Fi are available, but there’s no Netflix or YouTube. The prices feel high for what you get. It has potential if they make improvements.

We had to leave because there were so many mosquitoes. The window looked ready to fall out, and its frame had a disgusting black substance on it, maybe mold, though I’m not sure. The bathroom was in awful shape, and the phone didn’t work. At checkout, we waited nearly half an hour because nobody was at reception. With rates this high, they should take room cleaning seriously.

The James Bond room is beside the cleaning room, so you hear people coming in, and the partitioned window lets the light through. That can be uncomfortable. I’d make the jacuzzi light separate to give the room a more romantic feel. It’s a cozy, pleasant place for a romantic stay. The price is a little high, but still reasonable.

Even though the themed design and service were good, the shower’s hot and cold water pipes were terrible. I was in THE BEST ROOM and ended up bathing in the jacuzzi. Water is essential for hygiene and sanitation. It was a terrible first visit. They apologized later and offered me a 50% discount, but I definitely would never go back.
