Hampton by Hilton Lima San Isidro

We liked being surrounded by shops and restaurants, and our room was nice and clean. Still, it was disappointing that there was no smart TV, and the hotel had no solution when we asked. Even a small hotel in the mountains had one, so I expected it in the main city. They also use little bottles for the amenities, which feels old-fashioned. These updates should happen sooner so guests aren't disappointed. Breakfast was frustrating. The selection was small, with a different protein each day, and staff didn't refill the buffet until everything was gone, even when the food had dried out and looked unappetizing. I had to ask for more while there were still at least 30 minutes left, and other guests couldn't get food from the hot buffet. The location is great, but the hotel needs improvements here and there.

I had a good stay, with friendly staff, a nice room just as you'd expect from a Hampton Inn, and a delicious breakfast. Everything seemed fresh and made in-house, with antipasto-style salad, fruit, bread, meat, eggs, and fresh juice, including detox options. My Hilton Honors welcome was a plate of local chocolate, and it was yummy! I booked thinking the "business district" would have plenty of restaurants, but it was mostly office buildings and apartments. For business travel or a long layover, this is a perfect choice. For a longer leisure stay, I'd pick the Miaflores district.

Renzo, one of the front desk managers, really stood out during our wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton Lima San Isidro. He was proactive, professional, and clearly cared about making sure we were comfortable and well looked after. The whole team was warm and helpful from the moment we arrived, too. It's rare to find this kind of dedication and hospitality. Renzo deserves recognition, and a raise and promotion would be well earned. We'd absolutely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Lima.

The rooms were spotless, and breakfast came with a different selection each day. The waiters were really friendly, too. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.
