The room was spacious, with a nice bathroom, and the area felt safe. There are places to visit nearby, and security was posted in the front lobby. We heard some street noise that could wake you, but it wasn't a big issue for us. The hotel was clean and quiet during our stay, and despite what some reviews say, it didn't feel like a love hotel. I was bothered when I went downstairs to ask for the WiFi password. The woman wrote it on a piece of paper that was the back of someone else's passport information. They need to destroy those documents properly, not recycle them as scrap paper. Check that your passport copies are destroyed when you check out.

We kept coming back because parking was easy and convenient in this busy town. We paid 100 soles a night, and liked being able to arrive by car and get a spot. The rooms at the back, like 406 or 306, were quieter for us. At night it could be loud from the garage and other rooms, and it seemed some guests used the hotel as a motel. The WiFi was a little weak, and it can get cold at night.

The rooms are roomy and cozy, with private bathrooms. Wi-fi was good, and food came to the room quickly. You can walk to the beach and the famous bridge of sights. The cleaning staff made a lot of noise, though, and some guests slamming doors was seriously annoying.

I love this hotel for the great service and huge rooms. There's also a personal reason: I married the security guard who worked here in 2010. I guess picking a 5 star hotel worked out well for me.
