The rooms looked freshly refurbished, with huge beds and a tidy presentation. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was a great local style. It's right in the centre of everything you'd want to see in Lima.

For a few nights, the price felt fair and I was happy enough with my stay at Hostal Collacocha in Lima, Peru. Nothing especially remarkable, though it's possible the place has improved since I visited. The breakfasts and a few other offerings take some getting used to, especially if you're unfamiliar with South American, and particularly Peruvian, food. 😉

The bathrooms could use some improvement, but I'm grateful for the hospitality and the calm atmosphere. I spent many years coming here, and it came to feel like a second home. It's a lovely place.

The service and cleanliness are great, and it's a good place to stay. They could look into the slow Wi-Fi, and the breakfast buffet isn't much of a buffet, haha. There are a few other details that need attention, but otherwise it's an excellent spot.
