Only two nights for us, but the hostel made us feel welcome right away. They communicate well and made arriving easy, and it’s a short Uber ride to get there. Breakfast was lovely, with all the basics, and they even put it out early for our early flight. I’d happily recommend it.

The neighborhood can be pretty hectic, but inside the hostel felt like a little oasis. We chose it for a one-night stop before heading out of Lima, since it’s fairly close to the airport. Staff were so kind, and when we called an Uber during a chaotic time of day, they offered to wait outside and look for it. Breakfast came with fresh bread each day and eggs made to order, plus there’s a resident cat. The entrance felt secure, and I felt safe even though the area itself wasn’t ideal.

Mama made us feel completely at home, and the breakfast was among the best we’ve had, especially the homemade bread and fresh orange juice. We had a wonderful stay and only wished we’d had more time there.

For a night between flights, the simple setup worked for us. The host was quick to answer WhatsApp, even late, and let me leave a big bag there for more than a week. She also looked out for us in the area, asking us not to wait outdoors for our Uber and speaking to the driver, which I appreciated. The cats were adorable, and breakfast was a straightforward plate of eggs and toast. The bed wasn’t especially comfortable, and the building and interior are quite old. Amenities are basic, but enough for a short stay, and we felt well cared for.
