Inka Frog Exclusive Bed & Breakfast

I wouldn’t send anyone here. The rooms don’t look like the website photos, the walls were dirty, there was no heating, and the beds were hard. Calling it a hotel feels like a stretch when the bathrooms are outside the rooms. You get a private bathroom and a key, but you have to leave your room, walk down the hall, unlock it, then lock it again when you’re inside. Each bathroom trip means getting dressed as if you’re heading out. I felt bad seeing women hurry back to their rooms in towels, then lock the bathroom from the outside and unlock their rooms to get in. There were “wet paint” signs on the walls when we arrived, and they were still hanging in the hallway and on the stairs nine days later. It looked awful. They also say there’s a free shuttle, but charged us $20 USD. An Uber was $8 or $9. This place wasn’t worth it.

I had a great short stay while exploring Lima. My room was just right, and the staff were very helpful. It’s a cozy, low-key place, a little away from the main action. The party bars are about an 18-minute walk, which wasn’t too bad.

We ran into some unfortunate circumstances and couldn’t go ahead with our booking at Inka Frog. The staff were really accommodating and helped us make other arrangements. Great service. I’d book with them if we’re in Lima again.

We could leave a suitcase here for a couple of days while we went to another city, and the staff were super flexible about it. The location was good too, and the egg breakfast tasted great. Just a great bunch of people.
