The showers were lukewarm to cold, and staying here felt like sleeping beside a construction site, on a noisy street corner with the smell of cement mix around. Maybe it’ll be a proper hotel someday, but from the other reviews it sounds like that could still take a long time. Right now it’s a work in progress and shouldn’t be open yet. I wouldn’t want to sleep here, hence the one star.

The owner was always kind and ready to help. It’s a nice place, though it still seems to be under renovation.

The food was the best part.

I liked the comfortable bedding, the room itself, the in-room refrigerator, the convenient location, and the pleasant, helpful staff. But the Booking description was inaccurate: there was no terrace, private beach, direct beachfront access, jacuzzi, and so on. That made the stay feel like poor value for money.

The hotel was comfortable and very family-friendly. On our last day, though, the hot water ran out because they’d used up the gas in the cylinder, or “bolón,” as they call it. They had no spare, which is hard to believe, and it took three hours to bring another one. At least they let us check out late.
