They even made me breakfast at 3am and called my room to make sure I woke up for my early flight. The rooms were very clean, the showers were warm, and it was very good for the price.

The staff are friendly, but the bathroom had issues: the toilet was broken, and poor drainage left a puddle on the floor. My room smells moldy, with Febreze layered over it. I'm awake at 3am because people have been loudly talking in the lobby for the past hour. The sound echoes up the stairwell and reaches my second-floor room with AMAZING acoustics.

The walls are thin. Every morning I woke early to loud sex in the next room, so at least they enjoyed their stay :). The location is perfect, two minutes from the Airport Express stop, a 10-minute walk to Kennedy park, and near several restaurants. Staff were friendly and always ready to help, and breakfast was good. Get a room away from the elevator and street.

The breakfast was the best I tasted in Peru, with a range of juices, eggs, and bread, and hot water came through easily instead of making us wait 20 minutes like at some other hotels. We had a clean, spacious room, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to suggest places to visit. The hotel is in Miraflores, a quiet but lively district, near Kennedy Park and plenty of restaurants. Great place to spend a night in Lima.

On our first stay, the room on the third or fourth floor was dated but the night was decent, maybe three stars. On our last night in November 2013, though, we were put in room 101, right behind reception. My wife and I had a 4:30am departure and hoped for a few hours of sleep, but the front office noise kept us up most of the night. At about 10:30pm we asked to move because we could hear almost every conversation through the walls. Staff first said there were no rooms and couldn't help. We brought one staff member into the room and shut the door so he could hear it himself. He said they'd find us another room or move us to another hotel, but that never happened. When we asked to speak to someone else, the front desk called someone who said the room was fine and it would get quiet after all the guests checked in. We were again told no rooms were available, even though they also said many guests hadn't checked in yet. Unable to sleep, I sat in the lobby and read. Staff sat on the steps outside our room talking on their cell phone and yelling to one another across the first floor. The noise began to die down around 1:30am as the last guests arrived. At about 2:30am they locked the front door and started turning out the lights. The same staff were there when we left at 4:30am, but they didn't speak to us or apologize. It's a mediocre hotel with old furniture, thin walls, and no amenities. That's fine if you only need somewhere to sleep and a jumping-off point, but staying in our room, or another one like it, is a risk. I can't recommend it. You won't get rest if you're arriving from or leaving on a long international flight. Mira Flores is a great neighborhood, but don't ruin your trip, stay somewhere else.
