Viajero Lima - Barranco Hostel

I liked this hostel enough to come back while I was in Lima, for a second stay before leaving Peru. The building is really cool, the location is awesome, and the wifi worked well for work. Best employee is in the pic! The downside was the women’s dorm. I was there in February, when it was 27C, and there was no AC. That room got much hotter than the rest of the place, making it really hard to sleep. There’s no kitchen either, so eating out every day can get pricey.

The staff were wonderful and always ready to help, and the activities the hostel organized were great. I can definitely recommend Viajero Barranco. There are lots of restaurants and shops right nearby, and the seaside viewpoint is about a 10-minute walk away. I stayed in the basement 4-bed dorm, which had a private bathroom and a small window. The fans ran all the time. The bar is right behind the bathrooms, but the noise was acceptable. The room did have a bit of a basement smell, and the air could have been better. Overall, I had a good stay, especially thanks to the staff and location. Thanks, and see you soon 🤝

The team was a real highlight. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, especially Bryant at the front desk and Sofia at the bar. Bryant answered my questions, gave me recommendations, and helped sort out a booking mistake I’d made. I also enjoyed the scheduled activities, which made meeting people easy. I’ve stayed in hostels around the world as a digital nomad, and this is a great one. I tried both a shared dorm and a private room while in Lima, and both were clean and spacious. The location is perfect. I’d highly recommend it for a trip to Peru!

Wendy brought so much fun and warmth to my stay. We danced and laughed, and somehow she made every day feel easy and enjoyable. Her suggestions helped me experience Lima in a way I loved. She made my trip 10 times better, and I’m already excited to return to Viajeros Lima. Meeting Wendy would make anyone’s time there incredible. 💃✨
