The Bluehouse has a relaxed feel and a rustic look, with a great hangout space and a rooftop terrace. There’s a kitchen and a chimney for BBQs, plus workout gear like pull-up bars and punching bags. It’s popular with surfers, close to the beach, and handy for Miraflores’ main attractions. The host, Quique, is the best part: super friendly, full of stories and useful information, and just fun to spend time with. Smoking is allowed, and BH welcomes pets too.

Clean and comfortable, and very quiet as well. What really made it stand out was the exceptional owner and host. A good choice if you’re not after a youth hostel.

It’s a cosy place with nice looks and a good central location. The facilities can be hit or miss, but it’s cheap. The manager, Kimi, is really friendly and nice.

We booked a week ahead, but when we arrived, the guy said there were no rooms left and basically didn’t care where we’d stay. The place looked really dirty and badly maintained, and the workers had the worst attitude. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
