The beach had plenty of room to stretch out, and it never felt crowded. Our room was clean and beautiful, with lots of space to ourselves and a balcony. We spent a relaxing week here, and it’s a peaceful place to take a break. The restaurant staff could have been more attentive and friendly, though housekeeping was great. Food was good, but felt expensive to us compared with other places. Eating cheaply around Vichayito seems difficult in general, perhaps part of staying somewhere this quiet and lovely. Breakfast was just okay: scrambled eggs and a brioche burger bun, nothing special. WiFi came and went, and wasn’t reliable or fast. Still, we had a good stay and thought the value for money was hard to beat.

A warning if you’re booking this hotel through booking.com: the listing says you can cancel for free, but that wasn’t my experience. They demanded the full amount by bank transfer, plus extra fees, and canceled the reservation hours later if you didn’t pay. It felt like a semi-scam to make people pay everything at the time of booking. Booking.com told me by phone that they knew about it, but weren’t willing to do anything. Be careful.
