Hotel y Restaurante El Molino

The river views are beautiful and the menu is extensive, and our server was fast and helpful. But the portions were tiny, especially for the prices, which were high for the area. We ordered shrimp ceviche and saltado (noodles), and were surprised that a town known for river shrimp served such a small amount on the advertised plates. The fried trout was only a filet, about the size of my 8 year old hand. We won't be back. I'd suggest trying other local restaurants, even if they don't have river views, since you may get fairer portions and prices and much tastier food.

We had a terrace where we spent most of our time, with views of the river from there and our window. The room was small for three, though. The river's steady white noise was relaxing, and there was no music, which we really appreciated. We were there on Monday and happened to be the only guests, but luckily the restaurant stayed open, unlike at other hotels on workdays. The criolla soup was delicious, though we found a piece of soft plastic in the morning sandwich. The pool was very clean and warm enough for my daughter by 3 pm, and she could run barefoot on the fresh green lawn. In the evening we stretched out on the round outdoor sofa and listened to the river.

Right in central Lunahuana, near the square, shops, tour agencies, and more. The place is clean and tidy, with several nice little spots for photos. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and cordial. The food was good, though a bit expensive.

Everything at El Molino Hotel & Restaurante was better than I expected, from the lovely surroundings to the tasty food. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I really enjoyed my stay.
