Hotel Aryia

The fourth-floor rooms have a nice view, and the pool is great. It’s a five-minute walk to the beach and close to shops. The front desk guy who checked us in was really nice and accommodating. The common areas have strong Wi-Fi, and reception sells snacks, beer, and ice cream. There’s a backup generator for the frequent town power cuts, which is key. Our room was big and clean, with a huge comfy bed, air conditioning, and a hot shower with excellent pressure, some of the best I’ve had in Máncora. The downsides: no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room at all on the top two floors, though they did warn us it was bad. The rooms aren’t soundproof. Our balcony faced the pool, open until midnight, and we could hear people there as if they were in our room. Being on the main strip also meant cars and clubs all night. The breakfast was incredibly disappointing for the hotel price: one roll, plain eggs with nothing like avocado or cheese, and warm juice. Eat breakfast elsewhere. Decent for a short trip, but the price doesn’t quite match what you get, and I think the hotel has a lot of potential. One more thing, the mosquitoes on the balcony and around town are vicious, so bring repellent. That part isn't the hotel's fault.
