Caroline was a wonderful host and went out of her way to help us arrange travel. The rooms felt elegant, with breathtaking ocean views just steps away. It’s a peaceful retreat close to the heart of the action, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

The ocean is right there, and the waves can be loud and strong, so keep that in mind if you’re hoping for a quiet night. Punta Ballenas itself is idyllic, with friendly staff and a good breakfast included. From the beach you can get to Máncora's famous surf bay in just a few minutes on foot, where friendly people offer board rentals and lessons.

This was a mellow, relaxing stay, not a spot for partying or making noise. I enjoyed a few pisco Spurs or cold Pilsen along the way. The staff were just wonderful and so helpful. We’re planning to return and stay here again.
