Terral Sunspot Beach House

The service left a lot to be desired. When we asked for another pillowcase to replace one stained with what looked like someone else’s blood, they resisted and blamed us, as if we’d put it there. The listing made things sound better than they were, and the room was generally dirty. They never took out our trash, and the terrace smelled like a septic tank. Water wasn’t running when we arrived, then had low or no pressure for the rest of our stay, making it hard to shower after the beach. The beds were hard as a rock and lumpy, and the sheets were dirty and stained. If you’re visiting Mancora, I’d look at other options. Our stay at Terral was uncomfortable in a lot of ways. Stay away!

A really bad stay, unfortunately. The place was dirty, and the owner was pretty unfriendly.

I booked a package with the hotel through Despegar, but the stay was unpleasant. The rooms I saw were spacious, though they had no air conditioning. The building was run-down, with mold on the walls, and the worst part was finding mouse droppings on the floor and on the pillows. The owners and person in charge didn’t seem concerned about quality of life, and there’s a lot to improve. The staff, though, were very kind and attentive, and I was glad to see they checked whether I needed anything.

There’s potential here, but plenty is missing. The room was spacious but had no air conditioning, and there were several mosquitoes. The pool looks like it hasn’t been maintained well, and customer service is basic.
