We had a spacious, secure cochera and no trouble parking our motorbikes. It’s an easy walk into the town center, and the owner was lovely and helpful. Our big room at the front had a balcony and fridge, so it was great value all in all.

The hostal is clean and spacious, and the bed was the most comfortable one we had on our long trip. The woman running it was lovely and helpful. She can arrange tours, even the cheap flight over the lines the evening before. There’s plenty of information and tourist maps around, plus big secure parking at the hotel.

For this price, I think it’s more than good. I usually share a room and bathroom for the same amount, so having my own room gave me some privacy. I don’t get some of the bad reviews. Some people seem ungrateful, paying the cheapest price and expecting Hilton service. The bed was comfy, there was hot water once you switch on the bottom next to the shower, though I didn’t figure that out until my second day 😅🤦🏽♀️, plus WiFi and lovely host Elvia 🫶. She’s so kind and helpful if you speak at least a bit of Spanish. When I had a WiFi problem, she moved me to another room, and helped me book a flight over the Nazca lines for a better price than Klook or Getyourgide. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and welcome. It felt like visiting my grandma’s place. 🥹 There’s some noise from the echoing corridor, so if you can, ask for a room farther from reception. All the Latinos are noisy when talking... 😁🤭 Otherwise I enjoyed my stay. PS: There’s a lovely local restaurant on the corner, with meals for 10 soles. 😉

It was such a beautiful place, with lovely people. Super clean, cozy, comfortable, and friendly. I felt at home and would highly recommend it.

AVOID, DIRTY, NOISY AND SMELLY. It was awful. The “car park” was dirt, stones, and mud, with a stone ramp that made getting in with our two heavy motorcycles really uncomfortable. The hostal was extremely dirty and cluttered. Our room was filthy and had an unbearable, pungent sewage smell. It looked like it had never been cleaned. The bathroom sink and mirror were dirty, there was hair in the shower, and the sheets, towels, and furniture in the room and on the balcony were dirty too. We slept in our sleeping bags on the bed. The muddy parking area meant we tracked mud into the room. There was water on the shower floor, so everything got muddy, and we had to mop it with an even dirtier mop. Random dirty furniture filled the room, making it impossible to walk around the bed or get in and out easily. The doors to the tiny balcony wouldn’t lock, so we didn’t feel secure. They were glass, and loud music from a party outside, which sounded like it came from a nearby event venue, carried right in ALL NIGHT. By far the worst place we’ve stayed in while travelling in Peru so far. I wouldn’t recommend it.
