We loved the lodge enough to stay for five nights. The colorful garden was peaceful, the mountain setting beautiful, and the main plaza only a two-minute walk away. Cars can't reach the lodge, but the staff helped carry our bags, which we really appreciated. The team were warm, helpful, and more enthusiastic than we expected. Jose gave us great tips for hiking and tours, along with interesting background on local history and culture. In one of our rooms, though, the drainage wasn't working well, and a gap in the bathroom window let moths in at night. That didn't take away from how much we enjoyed our stay.

Edgar made a real difference for us. He drove us to and from Cusco and took us on memorable tours along the way. He was friendly, knew a lot, and was great value. Ask the lodge about him if you need transport. My husband and I spent three nights at Apu Lodge and loved it. It's tucked just off the main path, so it feels quiet, while everything in Ollantaytambo is still an easy walk away. The staff were lovely, and we looked forward to the fresh, tasty breakfast each morning.

Having the Inca ruins right behind the lodge made it easy to head out hiking and exploring. We also loved the gardens, with flowers and fruit all around, and the warm welcome and help with our luggage. Our family spent three nights here and couldn't have asked for more in this magical town. We'd love to come back someday.

After long trekking days, I always find the cozy rooms and quiet atmosphere at Apu Lodge just right for resting. I've stayed here three times, once in 2022 and twice in 2025, and it has never let me down. The staff really care and do what they can to make guests comfortable. Ollantaytambo is a special place, and this is a great base for exploring the Sacred Valley. It's one of my favorite hotels in Peru.

The room was lovely, and the setting was picturesque. We spent two nights at this boutique hotel and were impressed by how friendly the service was. They were willing to help with anything. We'd definitely recommend staying here.
