Hotel El Chasqui

We ended up scrambling for somewhere to stay after the hotel we’d booked around the corner had no record of our reservation. The TV there didn’t work, there was no hot water, and the staff knew neither English nor Spanish. Then David from El Chasqui welcomed us warmly and spoke excellent B2 English. He showed us the available rooms, suggested breakfast, and explained where to find good local dishes. Our room was clean and organized, with running hot water and clean towels. Breakfast came with eggs cooked however you like, coffee, coca tea, and different fruits. The place was affordable and comfortable, with everything we needed. I’d give it 10+ if I could. The hostel we’d booked wasn’t staffed for check-in, so we wound up here instead. The front desk staff member kindly found us a room at the last minute, even though we had no reservation. We were glad we stayed: the room was great, the shower was spacious and hot, the bedding was comfortable, and the location was very convenient.

Hot showers, excellent beds, and great prices. Absolutely the best hotel in Peru!
