The room seemed clean and nice at first, but once the temporary air freshener wore off, it smelled really bad. They'd told us there was hot water, but there wasn't. When we raised it, they didn't seem to believe us or want to help; eventually they admitted the water wasn't really hot. We were also given one towel and, when we asked for another since there were two of us, were told, “It’s only one per room.” How strange. We'd been quoted 60 soles. We said we'd seen 50 on Google, but they insisted it was 60. Then we noticed in the reception book that other people who checked in that day paid 50. I guess that's the gringo price. We felt unwelcome.

The value and location were good, and the people were very nice. When I got back on a very late train, they saw me and offered a ride to the hotel so I wouldn't have to walk. I also had a very early train to Machu Picchu, and they knocked on my door to bring breakfast to go. A very good place for a few nights in Ollantaytambo.

The bar and lounge on the fourth floor has a lovely view of the town and mountains. My bedroom was much bigger than I expected, too. The owner was so kind and helpful, and really went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable. A great place to stay in Ollantaytambo.

Our room had its own bathroom, which was a nice bonus. The staff were helpful, and breakfast on the fourth floor was good, with really nice views. It was a good place to stay in town, though our room was a little noisy at night since it was right by the bars.

We arrived at 11 am on the day of our confirmed booking, but the hostel door was locked and nobody answered the phone. We got no reply to our messages either. Very unprofessional. We ended up canceling and had to find somewhere else.
