Hospedaje Mary

I don't get why this place is rated so highly. The water pump was really loud, and every pan had rotting food in it, so we couldn't use the kitchen. It's up a dirt road, and rough-looking dogs wander the streets at night, which aren't lit. I'm not usually bothered by dogs, but it wasn't a comfortable setting. The shower had no water pressure, and the water smelled like eggs when turned on.

Marys hostel was great for the night I was there. The welcome was super warm, the bed was really comfy, and breakfast was good too.

The room looks like a normal clean bed and breakfast, but it ruined our whole stay in Paracas. There's a Club/Weddinghall right at the Hospedaje, and we couldn't sleep until 4am. The music beat shook the bed and even knocked things off the shelves. Around 2am, people were aggressively banging on the doors and windows, trying to get into the Hospedaje. Nobody there could be reached, and we didn't feel safe at all. After that night, speaking with the owner was very strange. She acted like our feeling unsafe wasn't her problem and said weekend parties were normal. We left this strange place, and of course got no Sol back, not even for the second night we cancelled. The rooms don't have a window facing outside the Hospedaje. There are surely better options for the money.

The host was very kind and helpful, and there was an adorable cat. Breakfast was pretty typical, with delicious juice. We had a very pleasant stay.
