The pool area, ringed by palm trees, is a good spot to relax away from the city bustle. Parking is spacious and feels safe, and the breakfast buffet was delicious with enough options for a Peruvian appetite. Staff were attentive and polite, and the rooms were good, with enough amenities and a nice view of the pool. It works especially well for business stays or a one-night stop on the way to the beaches. Just know the hotel can get busy because breakfast and tea service are open to visitors. The city outside is chaotic, and the hotel has plenty of room to relax, so going out to explore may not be ideal.

I’ve stayed at Casa Andina Premium Piura Hotel twice now, and it’s been a lovely experience each time. Coming from India, I find it comfortable, especially for work trips. After long field visits, the clean, spacious rooms and the pool area are a nice way to unwind. The restaurant and breakfast are good, with plenty of variety. There’s a shopping mall nearby, and the parking behind the hotel is very useful. Sometimes communication in English at reception is a little difficult, but the staff are kind and do their best to help. It’s one of the best options in Piura for business or leisure.

Nice hotel, but the pool was being renovated, and they hadn’t let us know.

The Holiday Inn down the street has beds that feel like clouds. After staying at Casa Andina, I’d choose that cheaper, newer mattress any day. Casa Andina was over $120, and I can’t see how all the problems make that price worthwhile. I wouldn’t stay there again, and I’d tell others to avoid it. In room 215 I’d booked a king suite but was given a queen bed. The bathroom drain smelled like a sewer, and the air conditioner blew hot air even on its coldest setting. I moved to room 141, hoping the smell would be better, but it was worse. There were also cockroaches dead in a corner of the new room, poor lighting, and loud noise from early morning through the day and into the night in the hallways. The pool was wet, at least, but it closed at 8 p.m., much earlier than pools at other hotels, which usually stay open until around 10 or 10:30. Housekeeping tried to enter at 7:30 a.m. the first morning and woke me while I was naked. I thought I’d dreamed it, but at 10:30 someone knocked and opened the door a second later. I was standing naked, and my spouse was changing. The man tried to walk in without seeming to care that guests were inside. I called reception, angry, and asked why he was cleaning before checkout. They offered an a la carte lunch for two as compensation, which sounded like a joke but was apparently serious. The manager also left a note apologizing and asking me to accept it. The beds at Casa Andina were worse than the concrete street. The soccer team that stayed there the night before will probably lose today because of it, just saying.

By the end of my stay, what stood out most was Casa Adina’s effort with recycling. They give you slippers made from plastic bottles to take home, which is a nice perk, and there’s a separate bin in the room for recyclable material. The staff were all helpful and really nice. The grounds are clean and laid out nicely, the room is a decent size, and the bathroom was clean. The shower fan is very loud, though, and the toilet is tiny, like it was made for a child. Fix that fan and this would be a five-star review. Definitely a place to book, and take the free slippers.
