Three dogs near the hostel kept crying nonstop, which was exhausting. The staff weren’t helpful, either. Our room key got stuck in the door and they couldn’t get it out, so we had to ask to switch rooms without knowing whether our room would be left open. At check-in, the receptionist didn’t speak to us or explain anything about the hostel, including when breakfast was served. We missed it because it closes very early, at 9 a.m., but they charged us anyway. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hostel.

We had a three-bed room, which worked perfectly for our family. The hotel was clean, the shower had hot water, and breakfast was delicious. The plaza is within walking distance. The owner was very nice and told us about places to tour. I highly recommend it.

The service was good, and staff helped carry my suitcase up and down since there’s no elevator, but they couldn’t really fix the problems. This is a hostel, not a hotel, and it’s about a ten-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas. My room was clean, but the water was hot only on the first day, then lukewarm, and once it didn’t come out hot at all. My sheets weren’t changed during my four-day stay. They offered tours, but all except the first were incomplete. I don’t recommend it.

Breakfast is included, with two rolls, juice, and a hot drink, all fresh. The showers have hot water, and the rooms have big windows and roomy closets. I liked the location for getting to Ayacucho’s main square. There’s a park next door where you can take the kids. If the parking lot is full, you can leave your car outside. They also sell things like shampoo, typical drinks, and alcohol.
