Being close to Plaza del Sol, Saga Falabella, Maxi Bodega, restaurants, and a bar/club makes the central location really convenient. Piura may be under reconstruction, but that wouldn't put me off staying here. It remains my favorite, especially for the privacy and security. Rooms range from basic to VIP, and all have a mini-fridge, air conditioning, Netflix, Paramount, Disney+, and other streaming services. The place is clean and tidy, with hallway cameras, smart tables for charging your phone and playing music, and fingerprint-locked drawers. Even the bathroom bins are smart. Some of the more elegant rooms add a small living area and a little hall-like space, and a few also have a jacuzzi and kitchenette.

The hotel has good potential, but it needs customer service training. Saturday's reception service left a lot to be desired. The rock show and parking garage were also somewhere other than the advertised location. The pool still wasn't ready when I went up twice at 3 p.m., and nobody let me know when it finally was. There weren't any cleaning supplies, not even a basic cloth, which is especially inconvenient in a jacuzzi suite where they provide just one towel. We also weren't told the power would go out on Sunday, so we couldn't prepare by charging our phones.

A special thanks to Claudio for being so kind, helpful, and attentive to everything we needed. We really appreciated the hospitality. Mak Suites Hotel is comfortable, with beautiful, spacious rooms and all the amenities. It's in a quiet area that's still central, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend it.
