We visit Pucallpa once or twice a year with our retreat group, staying at the Wakaya the day before and for a few days after the retreat. It's a lovely, peaceful oasis amid busy Pucallpa, and we enjoy it every time. The staff are wonderful and helpful, and the restaurant is great. Food can take a long time to arrive sometimes, though everything is cooked fresh. They can accommodate a Dieta if you ask.

After a week in the jungle, we really needed a rest. The clean rooms, good food, and kind service were just what we needed. Thanks to the staff for making everything easy. Such a little oasis in the middle of Pucallpa.

After two weeks in the jungle, the comfortable beds, strong showers with plenty of hot water, and great air conditioning were much appreciated. The individual cabins were extremely clean, the pool was nice, and the staff were outstanding and accommodating. Wakaya Ecolodge is a hidden oasis on a pond about ten minutes from Pucallpa Airport. We ate our way through almost the whole menu, and the chef takes care with every dish. The food was excellent. I especially recommend the ceviche by the pool and the fresh-squeezed juices. I highly recommend staying here.
