We've been traveling around South America for a month and a half, and nowhere else we've stayed has been as good as this hostel so far. The staff were friendly and kept finding ways to help when illness disrupted our plans. They arranged tours, handled a refund when we couldn't go, extended our booking, changed bus plans, and called taxis for us. The place is clean and comfortable, and there's even a basic gym upstairs. I had my best workout since leaving the UK there. It's also only a short walk from the main square, cathedral, and pedestrian streets lined with nice bars and restaurants.

Sayda at reception was a huge help. She speaks excellent English and knows a lot about local history and traditions. Breakfast was really good each morning. When I had to leave for Cusco at 6 in the morning, it was ready early, and the pancakes were probably the best I've ever had. Thanks, Sayda. The hostel is always clean and very well located. Highly recommend it if you're staying in Puno.

After struggling to reach them by phone, WhatsApp, or email when my plans changed and I wanted to cancel, I came by the next morning to use the facilities, shower, and get breakfast while improvising. The staff won me over: they were great, the breakfast was quite decent, and I had a good experience overall. I booked a kayak tour with the owner, which turned into an awesome day, then extended my stay by a night. The place does have some flaws, but they're pretty minor. The essentials are solid. Saida, si estás leyendo esto, por favor actualiza los datos de contacto en Google Maps y Hostelworld!!

I came back three times, and the rooftop terrace was a nice spot for late night parties and fooseball. The staff were wonderful, especially the lovely manager, and they took me kayaking and to some indigenous islands. That was sweet! The background music kept my toes tapping, with what sounded like a Quechua flute remix playing great covers from back in the day. Best hostel ever! 🗺️🥳🤘 🇧🇴👍

Hostelworld said reception was open 24 hours. After midnight, though, they locked the door and wouldn't let me leave. I rang the bell several times, and they said if I went out, I could only return after 4 am. The other option they gave me was to find somewhere else in a dangerous area in the middle of the night. I was upset and stayed in the living room using my phone, but then they told me I had to leave that room too. These are the facts, without opinions. In Brazil, this would be a crime. Right now I have two choices: stay trapped outside or stay trapped inside.
