Nothing worked, and the internet was completely unreliable. The service was terrible. I wouldn't recommend them.

We stayed because it was already night, but I left as soon as it got light and found another hotel. The rooms were tiny, and I didn't even check whether there was hot water. The place had been recommended to me, yet things went wrong from the minute I arrived. It was expensive, too. Getting there was awful: the hotel sits on a steep slope, and part of the road is just dirt.

We paid over 100 soles for a room with an old, hard double bed. There was nowhere to put our clothes except a small nightstand. The shower had no curtain and only a trickle of water. Smoke from people smoking in other rooms came through the windows, especially the bathroom one. Then a party started in a second-floor room early in the morning, and management did nothing. Terrible experience. I won't return.

The place is acceptable, though a little cramped. Prices get high around peak times, such as late July, the first week of August, and September. Outside those dates, everything is very affordable. Churin is always worth a trip for its excellent medicinal baths and delicious trout dishes at the restaurants.
