Carlos and Juan’s warm, attentive care and professional service are the reason we keep coming back. They made our stays unforgettable, and people like them really do make a difference. It’s our favorite hotel in the Tarapoto region, and we visit every year. The rooms are amazing, with comfy beds, air conditioning, and a good shower head. We didn’t always get hot water, and the Wi-Fi in the rooms wasn’t reliable. Still, I highly recommend staying here.

Oscar, one of the owners, personally picked us up at the airport. We had a great time with him and his wife one evening at the bar, and one morning he baked bread and let us try some. It was really good. The restaurant serves good meals, including Sushi, and you can also get drinks at the pool bar. The whole staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel with new, clean rooms in a quiet area on the edge of Tarapoto. The owners personally manage the place and have good taste. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a few relaxing days in Tarapoto.

It was always nice to return after a long day of adventure and relax by the pool. The setting is safe, clean, and relaxing, and the food and drinks are delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to make guests comfortable. So far, this is the best place I’ve stayed in Tarapoto. There’s always room to improve, though. I’d suggest putting a safe in the rooms. Thanks for the wonderful experience, Colina de Montalva.
