La Ramada Lodge-Tarapoto-Peru

Mosquitoes!!!

It isn't near the city center, but the reception staff can arrange rides to and from the hotel. Everyone knows where it is, so getting back wasn't a problem. We had a great stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a refrigerator, and the young staff were all friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely for spending the day, breakfast had good variety, and the restaurant menu was extensive with delicious food. I'd definitely come back.

There was so much nature around the property that I even spotted local monkeys in the garden trees. The surroundings felt peaceful and welcoming. My family and I had a wonderful time using the pool during the day and at night. The tours were excellent too, highly recommended.

The drinks were good, but food took a long time and the finishes were basic. On Sundays there were outsiders around, and there seemed to be no pool rules about required clothing or showering before swimming. The music was loud, and it's very far from downtown Tarapoto.
