The hosts Marlin and Karina made us feel like family. They helped with groceries, took us to pick up our motorcycle rental, offered to make soup after a long hike, recommended a great dr. for an ear infection, and helped us find harder-to-source things in town. We extended our time in Tarapoto mostly because of M&K house and how much care they put into it. It's peaceful after the motorcycles and tuktuks downtown, and well placed for the region's hikes and waterfalls. The city is close, and Marlin and Karina were happy to take us in. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, generous, and varied, with fresh fruit smoothies, coffee, chocolate, tea, eggs made to order, cheese, olives, and warm bread. They even found GF bread for me. Having a well-equipped kitchen stocked with essentials was a huge bonus. The internet was good enough for work video calls, housekeeping was daily, the dogs on site were friendly and personable, and there was secure motorcycle parking. Thank you, Marlin and Karina. This was the best accommodation we've had in Peru, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone traveling through Tarapoto.

The hosts were the best, always attentive, friendly, and ready to help. I traveled alone, and felt at home as soon as I arrived. It's a peaceful place to relax away from the city's noise, and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared. It's a little far from the city center, but if you have your own transportation, the quiet and comfort are worth it. If you enjoy a tranquil setting, you'll love it. I'd definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was made when I wanted it, and it was really fresh. They also picked us up at the airport and took us back. We had a fully equipped kitchen to use, so we cooked and had a wonderful time. The service was 10/10 ❤️❤️

I really appreciated how peaceful and cool it felt there. Even without air conditioning, being a bit outside the city among the trees and nature made it comfortable, and mosquitoes weren't a worry. The room, living room, and kitchen were well equipped. It was a great place to spend time with my partner, and Miss Karina was so kind and attentive. I'd happily stay here again if I return to Tarapoto. #Bellacasaenlaselva♥️
