Hostal Huerta Grande

It was cheap, but they added a card processing fee of S/50 + S/3.00. There were other issues too: no towels in the room, and it was very noisy. The TV only had basic cable, no Wi-Fi. For the same price, I've stayed in hostels with better service and conditions. This doesn't meet the standard I'd expect of a "hotel".

I liked the service, and the price is affordable. There’s good Wi-Fi and parking, and it's close to the transportation companies going to Lima, Chiclayo, Piura, and Tumbes. It's also off the main avenue, which makes for a more peaceful rest. I highly recommend it for a night or more.

At 6:00 AM there was a deafening noise. They told me it was the water suction pump starting up. The toilets were broken and the fixtures rusty, and the service was poor. The receptionist didn't explain the entry requirements. I had to check in at 4:00 AM and check out at 1:00 PM. A bad experience.

The rooms are comfortable and affordable, with fans, and the hotel is clean. It has four floors but no parking garage. There's no restaurant either. They were doing work on the public road, so be careful on the streets, there are holes that could be dangerous to walk around. It's half a block from Cementerio Miraflores and a few blocks from Coliseo Gran Chimú.
