Hotel Ejecutivo San Diego

We paid 120 soles for one night, and the room was awful for that price. It was tiny and musty, with old sheets and almost flat, squashed pillows. You could hear everything from the other rooms. The bathroom was worst of all, with mold on the curtains, old fixtures, and damp, dirty corners on the floor that looked like they hadn't been cleaned properly for days. The security guard was incredibly rude, and surprisingly, he didn't even ask for our ID when registering us. This was my first trip to Trujillo, and I'm sorry I chose this hotel. I expected something worthwhile for the money and was completely disappointed. I absolutely don't recommend it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was easy to find shops nearby and restaurants along the avenue. The area itself is quiet and well located. The rooms are basic, though they could use a bit more cleaning.

The staff were really helpful when I had trouble with my car. The hotel has a restaurant, which is a plus, but breakfast could be more filling, with more bread, butter and jam. My room had a jacuzzi tub, though only the shower worked, and the place feels a bit dated. For what it offers, it’s expensive.

The room and location were okay, with no major problems there, but the service was bad. It was booked for two people and they only left one towel, so I kept having to go downstairs to ask for another. We asked them to make a note of it, but during our six-night stay we found both towels only twice. We also checked whether reception was open 24/7 and were told it was. One night we got back at 5:00 AM and had to knock and call for 15 to 20 minutes before anyone opened the door. After I left a negative review on Booking.com, where we booked, I was surprised to see the hotel had canceled my reservation, claiming I hadn't shown up and saying they could charge me again for what we'd paid on arrival. That's why I’m giving one star for service, though three for the room and location.
