Plaza Real Hotel

Breakfast was greasy and full of oil, and I don’t recommend this place. The shower was filthy, in terrible condition, and had visible mold. It was a really unpleasant experience. You expect a clean, well-kept place, but this shower was disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages.

The room was clean and spacious, with a street view, but closing the window kept out the annoying traffic noise. The bathroom mirror was a little foggy, though that was minor. Their set breakfast is decent for keeping you going for a few hours, but there aren’t many choices.

We stayed three days, and when we complained about missing towels and toilet paper, they said we should have waited for the night staff since nobody else was available. They cleaned when asked, but didn’t leave either item. The charges were frustrating too: 170 soles for a small room, with fees for everything. One day they lent us a linen, then the next said ironing it would cost extra, which they hadn’t mentioned at first. There was also a makeup stain they charged us for. Very disappointing, and not recommended.

The room felt depressing. For 140 soles, it seemed more like a 25 soles room for four hours. The bed was super small and uncomfortable, and it kept making noises. The air conditioning wasn’t worth it, and breakfast looked like I’d been given two fried quail eggs. A horrible experience.
