Tierra Viva Trujillo

The location made this stay especially convenient. There are good restaurants nearby, a park for daily walks, a grocery store, a pharmacy, and what I think is Trujillo’s best ice cream shop. The hotel also arranges rides with trusted taxi drivers, which felt reassuring. One driver even helped me pick something up at a pharmacy, then made an extra supermarket stop so I could buy water for our outings. Hotel Tierra Viva really impressed me. The staff were warm and attentive from arrival, and quick to handle requests. Rooms are roomy, bright, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. Daily housekeeping is available at no extra cost if you want it, and they leave two complimentary bottles of water each day. They can also exchange dollars for soles at a reasonable rate. Breakfast is included and changes each day. It’s a semi buffet with things like eggs, grilled vegetables, yuca, sweet potatoes, cereal, breads, juice, coffee, fruit, and tea. If eggs aren’t out, you can still order them, and pancakes, waffles, or French toast are available every day at no extra charge. For all that, the price seems more than fair. I was honestly impressed. My family stayed at the Hilton while I stayed here, and I felt I got the better deal. To me, this hotel even rivals the Hilton and exceeded it in my experience. Well done to the whole staff, this review is well deserved.
