Yaqta Hostel

The location is excellent for exploring, with great food all around. Staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke both Spanish and English. The rooms were small, a little run down, and noisy from downtown traffic. The kitchen could use a few more basics, like pepper and extra tea, but the well kept rooftop terrace and kitchen are a nice spot to socialize. Overall, I had a really positive stay.

The terrace has a nice view and an open kitchen that's well furnished, clean, and quiet. In the morning, a lovely, talkative lady can prepare breakfast. There's free tea, and a relaxed cat wanders around. The young staff were nice, too. It's a safe hostel in a safe area, just one block from the main Square. The dorms are small but okay, though the mattress is too soft and there's little room for your things. The shared bathroom is also in the room, quite clean, with a hot shower.

I felt very safe here, and the female dorm having its own bathroom was a nice bonus. The hostel is in the historic center, with kind and helpful staff. Its kitchen is well equipped and sits on the terrace, so you can cook outside. There are funny stickers on the fridge, and a lovely cat around.

A good location, fair prices, and good service. Breakfast was nice, and the common areas were pleasant. There are lots of QR codes with information about the city and transport links.
