AVA Valle Sagrado Spot

The worst part was the noise from the meeting room beside our bedroom. Staff talked loudly with the door open well after 11pm and before 6am. I had to shush them three times, and they also took calls in the echoing hallways. Another guest came out to quiet them too, so it seemed like the whole hallway could hear. It was rude and disruptive, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I was here with a tour group. The exterior was peaceful and the food was okay, but the isolated location made it hard to find food elsewhere. In our room, two people had to share one full size bed. There was mold in the shower, the hot water ran out quickly, the room smelled unpleasant, and there was no heat.

I stayed at AVA Valle Sagrado Spot in August 2024, and it’s a stay I won’t forget. The yard was a highlight, and my room was spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. The facilities were well maintained, and the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable as soon as I arrived. The hotel’s beautiful setting and views of the Sacred Valley added a lot to the experience. I’d highly recommend AVA Valle Sagrado Spot to anyone visiting Peru or the Sacred valley. It’s a lovely place to relax and take in the natural scenery.

The hotel sits at the edge of town, and Urubamba itself isn’t especially pretty. The scenery around the hotel is great, though, and it works well as a base for trips to Chinchero and Ollantaytambo.

The gardens are beautiful, with mountains on both sides, and the restaurant is phenomenal. My husband and I stayed here recently and loved this gorgeous hotel. I’d recommend it to anyone needing a place in the Sacred Valley or near Macchu Picchu.
