Rohotu Fare

The gardens at Rohotu Fare are lush enough to rival botanical gardens, and the villas have a beautiful old-world feel. My wife and I have stayed in all kinds of places around the world, including luxury resorts and five-star boutique hotels, but this one felt different. Nir is like a character from a book, an adventurer, collector, visionary, and dreamer who makes his ideas real. He and his wife Tiare were incredibly welcoming and shared so many interesting insights with us. We loved every moment of our stay. It was a pleasure and an honor to be there, and they made our honeymoon unforgettable.

Nir and his family have created such a distinctive, peaceful place in the Bora Bora forest. We travel a lot, and the resort really impressed us. There’s art, statues, and antiques indoors and out, with lovely bay and mountain views, and it’s close to the beach and restaurants. Our villa felt like a tropical hideaway, with tasteful decor, a spa-like indoor-outdoor bath, and a handy kitchenette. It was cleaned and serviced every day, with fresh towels and supplies. The complimentary vanilla rum in the cupboard was a nice touch. Nir is generous, creative, kind, and welcoming. After we checked out, I realized I’d left my jewelry box in the room. After three weeks of travel, it was lovely to have a kitchenette and spend some relaxed evenings in. The complimentary rum was a hit, too. The place is set in a gorgeous botanical garden, which gives it a special, peaceful feel. Our room was beautiful, the view was stunning, and the location worked perfectly for us. You can tell it’s been made with a lot of care. When one of our tours was cancelled at the last minute, Nir arranged a new private tour for the next day. Nothing seemed like too much trouble, and the service was exceptional. We absolutely loved our stay and couldn’t recommend it more. A really memorable visit! 🌺

The grounds feel like a Polynesian paradise, with detailed hand-carved stone figures everywhere and hillside rooms looking out over both the lagoon and the mountain. We felt lucky to spend such a wonderful week at Rohotu Fare. Nir and his family helped make our anniversary and birthday so memorable. He arranged reservations and activities when we needed them without pushing too many suggestions. He even drove me to the bakery twice for cake and took us grocery shopping. He also shared a wealth of knowledge about the islands, both past and present. I’ve never had a hotel host go so far out of their way for us.
