Dinner was something I looked forward to every night, and the food was excellent. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and went swimming with the fish every day. The resort felt like my own private island. I came home more relaxed than I’ve ever felt after a holiday.

I still think about our honeymoon stop here in 2001, part of an unforgettable trip through Polynesia. The place was spectacular. I especially remember the bathroom, where the shower area opened to the sky and had a seashell floor. It makes me very sad that it’s now permanently closed.
