The care from the staff made this fourth visit to Thalasso feel special all over again. Rachelle welcomed us warmly and helped with whatever we needed, while Steve arranged an upgrade with a direct view of Mount Otemanu and a lovely birthday surprise for my friend. Nouredine checked in personally, and the positive atmosphere across the resort really reflects his leadership. My 5-year-old son Jeremiah was thrilled with his gifts, especially the free ice cream certificate. He also used the coloring book and pencils, and wore the bucket hat every day. Those little touches meant a lot to us. Everyone greeted us with genuine smiles and “Ia Orana,” and the resort was immaculate, with a clear lagoon, incredible views, and dreamy overwater villas. We stayed November 18-21, and the food was wonderful. The breakfast buffet had lots of fresh choices, and the omelet chefs were both kind and talented. Every restaurant was consistently good, and the crème brûlée from room service was my favorite dessert of the trip. I’ve traveled to plenty of places, but nothing compares to this resort. It’s my favorite place in the world, and this stay with my best friend and son was beyond perfect. The InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa is pure paradise, and we’ll absolutely return. My son tells me every day how much he misses Bora Bora!

What stayed with us most was how welcome and valued the staff made us feel. Every person we met was warm, attentive, genuinely kind, and very professional. Their care and attention to detail went well beyond what we expected. The whole stay came together seamlessly, from the atmosphere to the service. We’ve never experienced a hotel that handled every part of our visit so well, and it’s now our personal standard for excellence. We hope we get the chance to return someday. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience.

The daily activities were a real highlight, especially the coconut-opening show, which was fun and felt authentic. I also appreciated the complimentary minibar and the welcome drink and snack in the room. The lemon cake was delicious, if I’m remembering right. Our overwater villa was spacious, nicely furnished, and gave us complete privacy. The staff were kind, smiling, and helpful throughout, and the renovation work was barely noticeable during our weekend stay. I’m not sure whether it’s the same on business days. Dinner at Corail Restaurant was enjoyable and beautifully presented. The dining overall wasn’t the best, and it may not quite meet the level of a top European five-star restaurant, but it was still very good. Hey, we were in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Thalasso Spa is a lovely place to rest and enjoy Bora Bora, and I’d like to return. One thing to know, there were no fish around the OWBs.

If you want to lie on the beach and switch off, this place is perfect ♥️ The island setting comes with a spectacular view, and the hotel felt clean with a little touch of luxury. Meals had a good variety. While we were relaxing on the beach, staff would come by with pieces of fresh fruit, a small gesture that made the service feel special. Renovation work was happening in part of the hotel during our stay, but it didn’t bother us.

The food team went out of their way for my severe allergies. The waitstaff, especially food and beverage manager Antoine, arranged safe meals for me even when what I wanted wasn’t on the menu. When I hurt my back on an excursion on the main island, concierge Paul left me a handwritten note to see if I was okay, met us at the dock himself, and drove us back to our room in a golf cart so I wouldn’t have to walk. The hotel also sent a taxi on the main island when we had no money and needed a ride back. The whole motu is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous, and the staff are kind and helpful. The spa was lovely and the pool excellent. There isn’t a lot of coral to snorkel over in front of the rooms, but the lagoon was one of the best places I’ve snorkeled. There were tons of clownfish, pufferfish, clams, and more. We had a wonderful experience and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’d highly recommend it, especially to anyone with food allergies like me.
