Téa and Alex were friendly and welcoming, and Mauruuru for such a lovely stay at Fare Tokoau. The garden is beautiful, and you can use the kayaks and laundry machine on site. We loved the rustic, quaint rooms, like a little private cottage by the beach, and the kitchen had what we needed for cooking. The pool was cool and refreshing. There’s lots to see at the beach on the property, including a small reef just off shore. We spotted several black-tipped reef sharks and even a baby lemon shark in the inlet at the edge of the property. A cat came by to greet us at breakfast each morning, and a dog joined us for sunset. We adored our week there.

A few things for fellow travellers: the family who runs Fare Tokoau are delightful, pets included, and there are good restaurants within a 10 minute drive. We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The grounds, pool, and bungalows are made for relaxing. I was concerned about mosquitoes, but the ceiling fans kept the place cool and warded them off just fine. Just go!

I wanted a quiet, intimate place in Moorea, close to nature and right by the ocean, and this was exactly what I hoped for. The owners are wonderful, and the property is beautiful. The bungalows are simple, charming, clean, and well maintained. You can swim in the pool, kayak, or watch the sunset. They also organize a lagoon snorkeling tour, which you shouldn’t miss. I’m so glad I chose this place.

The hosts were generous and welcoming, and got me through all kinds of trouble. I really enjoyed my 8-day stay at Fare Tokoau. The bungalow was amazing, with a lovely patio, and the animals around the property added so much charm. The site is gorgeous, almost like a painting, and a wonderful place to watch the sunset. There’s a beach for swimming, plus kayaks and a pool. You can also join Alex's Lagoon Tour with the host, which I don’t think you’ll regret.
