Linareva Moorea Beach Resort

We stayed at the Linareva for seven nights and didn't want to leave. The quiet west side of the island gave us privacy, a nice breeze, and practically no mosquitoes. The grounds were beautiful and impeccably kept, with mango, papaya, breadfruit, dragonfruit, and flowers everywhere. Being right on the ocean was the best part. Snorkelling from the pier was okay and convenient, but we especially enjoyed taking the free kayaks further out on the reef, anchoring, and exploring the stunning pristine coral. We saw rays and turtles, though you do need to watch the current. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They found us a private boat tour with a fantastic operator, Koa Boats, at a very reasonable rate, promptly fixed the AC when our mini-split had an issue, and when our toddler got sick, the owner gave us great advice on which doctor to see and how to get an appointment. She even shared her kids' toys with us! There are several grocery stores, with fresh bread and croissants every morning, and takeout places within biking distance. Most public beaches and sightseeing spots require a car, so we were glad we rented one. Linareva isn't a fancy resort. It's laid back, friendly, comfortable, and well provisioned, with studios that have kitchens, free snorkel gear, kayaks, bikes, and more. A fantastic base for a DIY Moorea trip. We can't wait to return!

This is our second stay, and we made it longer so we could spend more time at the resort, just 5 m from the water. You won't believe how lucky you'll feel choosing this place. Bicycles, kayaks, snorkelling gear, a private dock, and breakfast delivered in the morning at whatever time you choose are all there. They can also suggest dinner spots or arrange takeout with free transfers. We especially loved the sunsets and dinner at Tamahau with Polynesia. Dancing, too. If there's anything you think you've missed, they'll find it for you, 24/7. Mauruuru to Vanessa and Rani and Temari and Moomoo and Catherine.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. We stayed as four in the “family villa” in the middle of the resort. There were two comfortable air conditioned king rooms, plus a great room, kitchen, and a loft with three twin beds. Those spaces were open air and opened onto a pleasant patio with a large table, couches, and a hammock. Two bathrooms, each with a shower and toilet, meant each couple had their own. We made our own breakfast every day, though we noticed the nice looking breakfasts being carried to the other cottages. The resort has kayaks, bicycles, and other things to borrow, as well as a long pier with a ladder for snorkelling inside the lagoon. Yoga on the pier at sunset was magical.

The west side of the island was a great spot for amazing sunsets from the pier, and it felt private, like paradise. We rented a car to make getting around the island and going on excursions easier. We loved our stay at the Linareva Beach Resort. The bungalow was comfortable, clean, well equipped, and had a wonderful porch where we especially enjoyed breakfast. Everyone was friendly, from check-in onward. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.
