Nadine even drove us to and from the airport. The house has AC and hot water, and the port and ferry area is a 15-20 minute walk away, with places to eat, have a drink, or just take in the views. Around the neighborhood there are signs pointing to the cathedral, pearl museum, Papeete market, presidency, city hall, and other places. There are four rooms, each with its own name. Ours had a private bathroom. Guests can use the kitchen appliances and living room, and there are bicycles too. Across the street, a French bakery opens from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; we got delicious croissants there every morning. On the left corner there's a small supermarket with groceries and prepared food. You can heat pizza in the microwave or make coffee. Nadine leaves coffee, tea, and bananas for everyone.

The place was extremely clean and a nice alternative to a hotel, with good value for money. There are four separate rooms, a big shared kitchen and lounge, and a covered outdoor area for eating or relaxing. Our bedroom and bathroom were both clean and practical, with AC and a comfortable bed. The location made things easy: a supermarket, bakery, chemist, and restaurant are two minutes away on foot, and the bakery is right across the road and very good. It's an easy, flat 15-minute walk into the city. The ferry terminal is at the end of the street, about a 10-minute drive away. The host was fantastic and picked us up from the airport for free.

The hostess was informative and very helpful, and there were fresh fruit and bread available in the community kitchen. The kitchen was fully stocked, with pleasant places to sit inside and under cover outside. It's a very nice place to stay, with a grocery store about a block away and a bakery across the street that was perfect for breakfast. Highly recommend.

Nadine was like having a Tahitian friend around. She helped book activities and shared the kind of useful local advice only someone from there can give. I'd happily use City Home again, 10 out of 10. I stayed for 10 nights in January 2024 and found it comfortable, with great facilities. Two supermarkets are very close, which made self-catering easy and helped keep my costs down. The area itself was quiet, but it was only a simple stroll to the city center.
