Maru was a really nice host, and our cottage was comfortable with everything inside brand new. We stayed at Tamatuamai while diving in Rangiroa. It was peaceful there, yet only about an eight-minute walk to the local bakery and shop. We’d definitely come back.

The bungalow was lovely and clean, with their private sea access very close by. We could use the bikes and a kayak too. We had a wonderful stay at Pension Tamatuamai and would definitely recommend it.

Maru was great about arranging our rides to and from the airport. We stayed in the family bungalow, which had loads of space for my young adult son and me. At night there was a lovely breeze and we could hear the surf. I also really appreciated the outdoor space and the clotheslines with pegs for drying our things after each day on the water. It was an easy bike ride or walk to the bakery each morning. Great value for somewhere comfortable and clean, though of course it isn’t a typical five-star resort.
