We stayed just one night, and I only wished we'd had longer because the hosts were so lovely. The bed was large and comfortable, and we loved the fresh fruit breakfast before leaving. In the afternoon we went snorkeling and saw so many fish. They were also kind enough to take us to Tainu’u Marae, where canoes left for voyages to NZ many years ago. Another guest was staying in a different room, but we never saw or heard them.

Isabelle and Édouard were the best part of our stay. They're wonderful, always available, and happy to share tips so you don't miss anything on this sacred island. I felt right at home. The garden is beautiful, almost as lovely as the island's Botanical Garden, which is definitely worth a visit. Our room was comfortable, and the private terrace made it easy to relax. At breakfast, homemade jam and the sunrise over the sacred mountains were magnificent. La Maison du Voyage felt like a peaceful escape from the hotel chains that can lack authenticity. I especially loved our snorkeling trip, with moray eels, cornetfish, and other little Nemos, followed by sunset. A tip for getting around: you'll need to rent a scooter or car. Bring some cash for meals nearby.

The hosts gave us an exceptional welcome, and we hope we can come back one day. La Maison du Voyage was a wonderfully comfortable place to stay, with a beautiful tropical garden, a swimming pool, and magnificent mountain views. It felt like a true haven of peace.

Isabelle and Édouard were charming and attentive, and their helpful advice made our stay even better. The house and garden are magnificent and well maintained, and the breakfasts were delicious. A wonderful stay, thank you again, Flo and Éric.

We loved our snorkeling trip with the owners, Isabel and Eduard. It was the best snorkeling of our whole trip in Polynesia, and we ended the outing watching the sunset from the nearby beach, one of the most beautiful sunsets! La Maison du Voyage has such a lovely tropical garden, and the place feels completely relaxing. Our room was spotless, with a semi-open private bathroom that added to the tropical feel. Isabel and Eduard are adorable and make you feel at ease right away. They helped as much as they could, including arranging a scooter so we could explore the island. There's a public beach about a 10-minute walk away. We really recommend this place.
