The ants showed up as soon as the plates were cleared, crawling all over the table. By then we'd already spent hours waiting: it took an hour to get water, and our food arrived two and a half hours after we complained, even though our charter group had sent in the meal order 3 days before the reservation. We were first in the restaurant, yet every other table had sat, eaten, left, and been cleared before we got a second small cup of tap water. The fish was rubbery and the steaks were overcooked. The menu listed truffle, but there was absolutely nothing truffle on the plate. They brought us items we hadn't ordered and still expected us to pay for them. The kids' butter noodles and 3 fish sticks cost $18 USD, and were served so hot they caused second-degree burns right in front of my 3-year-old, who'd waited over two hours for them. The staff were disrespectful on top of everything else. I've never paid so much just to spit my food into a napkin. This was the absolute worst restaurant I've ever been to, with the absolute worst service. Save yourself the disappointment on your vacation and go literally anywhere else.

The setting was peaceful, with a pier for getting into the water and kayaks and boards available. The hotel has a lovely plantation style, with a central room and separate mint green bungalows facing the beach.

The pool was lovely, and the food at the restaurant was very good. Staff were pleasant and helpful, including the people on the dock. We got a welcoming introduction and cold towel, and service at the front desk, bar, and restaurant was great. The hotel was clean and well-kept. There were some mosquitoes in the evenings, so bring DEET. You do have to cross the road to reach the ocean, though it wasn't a problem. A dock crosses over the coral to a small boathouse, where you can snorkel or take kayaks. Kayaks are free, and you can paddle out to an isolated little island and snorkel. The snorkeling and sunsets were great. Free bikes are old but usable, and the car we rented from the hotel worked fine for a day. One evening there was a local Polynesian dance group and a local buffet, which was nice.

The hotel was beautiful and really nice, with live entertainment. The food was so delicious, especially the breakfast buffet. Please keep making that delicious vanilla yogurt and those comforting baguettes, and please keep serving that delicious butter.

We had a nice balcony with a lagoon view after being upgraded, and the lodge grounds were lovely. The location was fantastic, across from a reef with easy snorkeling, and everyone at the lodge was kind. They hosted a fun New Year's Eve party, too. The rooms were good and had a view. Breakfast was standard continental, while dinner offered several choices included in the room rate.
