The gardens around Pacific Gardens Hotel make for a peaceful setting, and the quiet atmosphere is appealing to both business visitors and tourists. Just outside Goroka town center, it’s one of the Eastern Highlands’ better known and more comfortable places to stay. The property offers well-kept standard rooms and deluxe suites, with air conditioning, hot showers, and reliable Wi-Fi.

There are local animals kept on the grounds that you can feed. The food and accommodation are the best in Goroka, and everything is clean. Prices for meals, drinks, and rooms are reasonably good.

Food quality is generally good, but service can be lacking. Sometimes meals arrive on time, other times you can wait a couple of hours. The pool usually isn’t clean.

The service was wonderful, the food was good, and there was hot water. The only issue was a strong smell for about an hour in the early morning, which I assume came from the septic or sewerage system. Apart from that, I had a wonderful stay and would come back.
