Dive Point Alcoy

The view was lovely, the room and bed were large, and the staff were polite. Still, compared with other hotels I've stayed at in PH, it didn't feel worth the cost or the time. It might work well for a big scuba diving group, but I wouldn't suggest it to a couple or anyone wanting a nice hotel. Food and drink choices are very limited, and there aren't many alternatives within 5km. We had to ask for a place at the dinner buffet, though the information sheet and menu never mentioned that. We did get seated, but didn't feel welcome and there wasn't much food. The shower needs replacing, with water swinging between scalding hot and cold, and the manager wasn't very accommodating. The night before leaving, we asked for a taxi for the morning and were told it was too late to arrange one, and that it would cost 3,000 pesos. We found our own for 1,800 instead. I left disappointed.

The snorkeling was awesome, and the food was great too. The staff are amazing, really patient, and make you feel comfortable the whole time. The owner is kind and very informative. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for this kind of experience, and I can't wait to return.

Dive Point Alcoy has a great range of beautiful dive spots that are easy to get to, and the equipment is well maintained. I did my SSI Advanced Adventurer here and learned more in four days than I had across my previous ten years of diving around the world. They even set you up with your own dive computer. Joachim's knowledge is incredible, and the support was professional, accurate, frank, and empathetic. It worked just as well for beginners as for experienced divers. If you're diving in the Philippine Islands, this is the place to go.
