Island View Beachfront Resort

We loved relaxing in our cabana, especially the outdoor shower. The resort is peaceful, with lovely landscaping, lots of tropical plants, and little corners to sit and explore. Breakfast isn’t included, and prices are a bit high for the Philippines, but the food is excellent. There are plenty of private tables with sea views.

What made our stay so special was the people. Peter and his team welcomed my family, ages 13 to 85, from the moment we arrived and made the trip unforgettable. We enjoyed massages, canoeing, the pool, direct beach access, the diving center, yoga classes, and watercolor workshops. The resort has great facilities and activities, the rooms were spacious and spotless, and there was a delicious variety of food.

I like the place overall, and the room was clean. The food was freshly made and tasted good, too. There were ants in the room that bite, and the restaurant portions are very small. They also don’t have breakfast options such as freshly made almond croissants. Beach service was basically nonexistent. The beach itself was very dirty, with broken glass around and plastic bottles in the water. Cleaning it up would make it look much better, help prevent injuries, and be better for the environment. The chef, Peter Cox, reacted very angrily and unprofessionally when we brought up complaints. He got furious and aggressive quickly, and it made the situation feel very uncomfortable and dangerous.

Peter is a convivial owner, and his Islandview Beachfront Resort makes for a lovely stay. We stayed in cabana rooms that rank among the finest in their class from all our many tropical trips. The kitchen is first rate, and the service is fine. It should suit people looking to decompress, enjoy genuine diving, or spend time with a great wine cellar. We’ve already booked our 2026 stay.
