Dalian Peak Hotel

The rooms felt stuffy, and with the thin walls I could hear everything from neighboring rooms. The furniture and fixtures are noticeably old and need serious renovation. There wasn't much to do around the hotel, so the stay felt dull. The pool is far too small, and the area around it looked abandoned and dirty, with a musty smell that put me off swimming. The restaurant only runs during breakfast, so it's not a full-service dining option. Even at breakfast, I felt the service was unfair. It was a managed buffet, but foreign guests were allowed to go back for more while we were refused, apparently because we weren't "dressed well enough." That felt blatantly biased and unacceptable. When I raised it, staff made excuses instead of apologizing or trying to make it right. Their manner was unprofessional and, as many other reviews also say, outright rude. For what it costs, this hotel was a disappointment. There are much better options for lower prices, and I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Breakfast was handled so well by the kitchen and wait staff. They kept helping me and made sure I got what I wanted. I appreciated that they were willing to run a managed buffet too, even though I know our rates are lower than at other city hotels outside Clarkeld, Pampanga.

The rooftop pool has a nice view, and the street stays lit all the way to the hotel at night. The room is small, but quiet, clean, and comfortable. I liked having a window facing outside and the bed facing a mirror. TV reception was great, though the internet was slow. Breakfast was free, with eggs, two kinds of meat, and soup.

We had a really enjoyable stay for the 2024 Aurora Festival. Getting to the event was easy, and SM Clark, restaurants, and bars were close by too. Super Club Eureka is just a block away. The staff were attentive, and our room was clean.
