Diamond Spring Hotel Angeles

It’s right on MacArthur and the rooms were awful. Even at two in the morning it was so noisy there was no chance of sleeping, so I checked out and found another hotel.

The staff were friendly, but the stay was disappointing and the room didn’t feel worth the price. There were three of us in a room with two queen beds. The air conditioning wouldn’t get cold, and the TV had apps like Netflix but no regular channels or cable, so you’d need to sign in with your own account. There wasn’t a room phone to reach the front desk, and since we were on the fourth floor I had to go downstairs to report the AC problem. It was inconvenient, the issue wasn’t fixed, and we were moved to another room. That room was better, though its bathroom exhaust fan was defective.

Getting around was easy, but I only felt about 50-50 on safety. The elevator was scary, and we had to use the stairs. The door only had a knob lock, with no alarm, and there was no phone to call for service. The TV network didn’t work, though the Wi-Fi was okay. The room itself was clean enough, but the shower and its heater didn’t work. I also came away with a couple of bed mite bites on my ankle. I’d still stay again, but I’ll bring Baygon next time :)

I was there for one night on a business trip. The room was clean and fairly spacious, but for this price you could find a better hotel for a family or work trip. The shower heater didn’t work, or maybe there wasn’t one at all. Breakfast was just chicken from Ministop/Uncle John's, with no effort to make a proper meal. Parking was a hassle too, since I had to move the car repeatedly. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price.
