There was no front desk receptionist from 5 p.m. until 7 a.m., so after dark you’re on your own, with no customer service. Staff were extremely rude. The elevators are poorly rated: only three people at a time, and shifting your weight while they’re moving can make them stop, leaving you stuck for hours. There’s no room safe, so take valuables with you. We tried to check out early and find another hotel, but they kept the remaining room payment, and you should take all your belongings because they’ll keep anything left behind. The pool was filthy, with dead animals floating in it. The bed was rock hard with only a dirty sheet, the floors were dirty enough that we wore shoes or slippers all the time, and room service came only once a week. The power kept going out, the rooftop restaurant was closed, and there was no food or water to buy on site. The location was extremely hard to find. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. YOU HAVE BEEN WARN

The front desk staff are friendly, and the place is clean. But the bed only had a sheet, no comforter, and the shower head fell off while I was using it. The toilet leaked and left the room smelling bad. There’s a sink but no microwave, mini fridge, or stove. Morning sun gets through the curtains, and you can hear everything from the hallway through the thin walls. The street outside is unpaved and full of potholes, most trikes don’t know where the place is, and the room chair was an outdoor lounge chair. Wi-Fi was slow too.

We booked four nights based on what was listed online, then found several advertised things weren’t available. There’s no fitness center, restaurant, room service, or airport shuttle. There’s no safe either, and the TV only has YouTube and needs to be programmed every day. The rooms are nice, but they’d be much better with working TVs and safes. We chose this place for the fitness center and restaurant, and neither exists. You can’t advertise things you don’t have. It could be a very nice place.

The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, with a sink, strong air conditioning, and friendly staff. It’s inexpensive, and the fast, stable internet is unusual for hotels around here. The TV’s Netflix app worked well with my account, thanks to the connection. I’ve stayed a few times and keep noticing some odd design choices. The sink has a countertop but no chair, microwave, or refrigerator, so I’m not sure what it’s meant for, maybe takeout. There’s no blanket, just a sheet, and you hear everything in the hall. The shower doesn’t drain fully because the floor wasn’t sloped toward the drain; water stays at the back and could breed mosquitoes unless you push it toward the drain each time. The faucet is reversed, hot is cold and cold is hot, lol. The small pool is tucked in a corner instead of front and center, and the pool bar wasn’t staffed the last time I checked. Outside, the street is unpaved. These are minor issues for under $170 a week, though I’ve noticed the price creeping up each month, and they could price themselves out compared with rooms nearer Walking Street. Add kitchen appliances and a blanket, and redo the bathroom floor properly, and it could easily be five stars with those big clean rooms and fast, stable internet.

The rooms are clean, the building is brand new, and the Wi-Fi is fast at over 150 Mbps. But I had several bad encounters with staff who were rude, and the whole atmosphere felt off. You can’t cook your own meals, and nearby construction is noisy. The building is on a dark street that didn’t feel very safe at night, and it’s a 10 to 15 minute walk to Fields Ave. For the price, it’s not worth it unless fast Wi-Fi is what you’re after.
